yesterday was my last day of surgery year 4 posting.. yeayy for no more surgery posting until Year 5. I was just counting the days for it to be over.. as surgery is known to have the most stern and fierce head of the department in the whole world, the well known Prof MVK, popular especially at surgery ward in Melaka GH and Muar Hospital, he was our semester in charge sum more ! He's the scariest person to be stumbled upon in the wards, cos he's especially more garang there, just hearing his voice in the wards would trigger the release of adrenaline for the Fright, Fight, Flight response, of which the best choice would be flight.. you wish.. its impossible XD do silly mistakes and out the ward you go.. haha
But honestly, he's a professor i really look up to (just minus those scoldings that scared the hell outta me !) he's a professor who really stresses on the competency of doctors today, the attitude, and of course the process of thinking -in which the aetiological and investigations tables comes.. it's really really useful, making the MBBS subjects more digestible ^^
On our very last PBL yesterday, he was extra nice, he didnt scold anyone, didnt send anyone out nor pick on my group.. haha.. and told a story that really brings kesedaran out of the lazy me- i promise i wont forget to order chest xray on patients like that in the future !
Although i'll get gastritis, tremors and 'transient pallor' everyday that he might come in for class in my final year, i still want him to come and teach us !
To ppl who hasnt finished surgery posting, be scared~ hahaha.. but it is realliee-hountouu-cincaa for our own good :) all the best !
